Baystate Health is an integrated health care delivery system serving a population of nearly 1 million people in western Massachusetts. We are one of the largest health systems in New England with more than 11,500 employees, five hospitals, and over 80 medical practices. Baystate Medical Center is affiliated with the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and has the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the region and the only neonatal and pediatric intensive care units.
Baystate Health has been named a Top 100 Integrated Healthcare Network for ten consecutive years by Verispan, a national research company, and was also named among the Top 50 Hospital Systems in the country. For the second time, Baystate Medical Center has been named a Magnet™ hospital for excellence in nursing services and has been recognized as a “High Performing” Hospital by the U.S. News Media & World Report’s Best Hospitals rankings.
