Pediatric Radiologist - Fetal MRI Specialist
McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston is seeking a highly qualified Pediatric Radiologist with specialized expertise in Fetal MRI to join our growing academic and clinical imaging team. The ideal candidate should have advanced training in pediatric imaging and demonstrated experience or a strong interest in fetal MRI or prenatal diagnosis and multidisciplinary care. The role involved close collaboration with maternal-fetal medicine, neonatology, pediatric subspecialties, and surgical teams to provide comprehensive diagnostic imaging and consultation for complex feral and pediatric conditions.
The candidate should be a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Radiologist for a faculty position in the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging. The rank for this position will commensurate with experience.
McGovern Medical School primarily provides imaging services at Memorial Hermann Hospital-Texas Medical Center. The 270-bed Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital provides a full range of pediatric care, including the latest advances in maternal-fetal medicine and neonatal critical care services, and renowned programs in pediatric trauma, pediatric surgery, neurosciences, pulmonology, orthopedics and cardiac care. The department also serves Harris Health Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital. The Pediatric division performs approximately 77,000 examinations per year.
Position Key Accountabilities:
- Performing and interpreting radiologic exams and procedures in pediatric radiology, including radiography, fluoroscopic CT, US, and abdominal MRI.
- Perform and interpret fetal MRI examinations for prenatal diagnosis of congenital anomalies
- Participate in multidisciplinary patient care conferences and case discussions
- Provide consultative support to referring physicians and clinical teams
- Contribute to teaching and mentorship of residents, fellows, and medical students
- Engage in clinical research and scholarly activities
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards

Qualifications:
- Diagnostic radiology residency program
- Fellowship training in Pediatric Radiology
- ABR certified or eligible, with active or planned CAQ certification.
- Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License.
- Experience and expertise in pediatric ultrasound, CT, MRI, and general diagnostic imaging

- Advanced training or significant experience in Fetal MRI
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary fetal care center
