Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled, Board-Certified Musculoskeletal Radiologist to provide expert interpretation of orthopedic imaging studies and collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons across our statewide practice. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in musculoskeletal imaging and a strong commitment to delivering timely, accurate diagnostic interpretations that support exceptional patient care.
This position focuses exclusively on orthopedic imaging, including MRI, CT, and X-ray studies. Remote work opportunities are available for qualified candidates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpret and provide diagnostic reports for musculoskeletal imaging studies, including:
MRI
CT - Digital Radiography (X-ray)
- Deliver accurate, timely, and clinically relevant radiology reports.
- Collaborate directly with orthopedic surgeons regarding complex cases and treatment planning.
- Participate in multidisciplinary discussions and clinical consultations as needed.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and organizational standards.
- Utilize PACS and radiology information systems effectively to support workflow efficiency.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and best practices in musculoskeletal imaging.
Requirements
Required
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency program.
- Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR).
- Active Tennessee medical license (or ability to obtain prior to employment).
- Demonstrated experience in musculoskeletal imaging interpretation.
- Expertise in reading orthopedic MRI, CT, and X-ray studies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a physician-led, team-oriented environment.
Preferred
- Fellowship training in Musculoskeletal (MSK) Radiology.
- Prior experience supporting a large orthopedic or sports medicine practice.
- Experience with remote teleradiology workflows and advanced imaging technologies.
