Primary clinical responsibilities include interpretation of CT and MRI of the adult abdomen, pelvis, and chest as well as adult ultrasounds, radiographs, and diagnostic fluoroscopy studies. CT includes four dual energy scanners in close proximity to the Emergency Department, updated with deep learning image reconstruction and cardiac scanning capability. No interventional experience is required.
Established in 1915 as the first Radiology department in the United States, the department consists of 50 radiologists, and provides full-service diagnostic, nuclear, and interventional radiology services. The Body division consists of 12 body imagers with a wide variety of subspecialty expertise. The members are actively engaged in research as well as resident and medical student education including daily image interpretation and teaching conferences. The work schedule will be largely confined to weekday business hours with call ~5-6 weekends per year (compensated with post-call days off), evening and overnight hours being covered by a separate ED Radiology division. We average 4 clinical workdays and 1 academic/administrative day per week (inclusive of weekend call). 40% of daily rotations can be covered remotely by teleradiology with a department-provided and supported fully functional PACS workstation.
