BREAST IMAGING RADIOLOGIST
Salary Range: $430,000 - $470,000 Per Year For Full-Time, 4 Days Per Week
The Brooklyn Hospital Center’s Department of Radiology is seeking a strong candidate who can connect with our diverse patient population to join our state-of-the-art Breast Imaging Center—dedicated to the prevention, early detection, and treatment of breast cancer. Located in the vibrant, historic heart of downtown Brooklyn, TBHC is a clinical affiliate of Mount Sinai Hospital and an academic affiliate of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. We offer a wide range of advanced services tailored to meet the evolving needs of our community.
Key Position Details:
- Breast Imager
- Onsite coverage
- Full-time, part-time and per-diem options are available
- Full-time, 4 days/week is available
- Per-diem, 1-2 days/week
- No nights or weekends
- Flexible schedule
Primary Responsibilities:
- Interpret all breast imaging modalities including screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound and breast MRI
- Perform imaging-guided breast procedures including stereotactic, ultrasound- and MRI-guided biopsies, and localizations
- Communicate and document significant or critical findings in Radiologist-to-Physician discussions; provide consultative services to referring physicians and patients
- Meet all regulatory and accreditation requirements, including MQSA; participate in educational and peer review activities as assigned by the Chair
- Participate in quality improvement programs and clinical education
Qualifications:
- M.D. or D.O with active New York State medical license
- Fellowship training in Breast Imaging preferred
- ABR Certified or Eligible
- Ability to maintain privileges at TBHC and credentials with insurance and government plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven commitment to patient-centered care, with strong outcomes and high patient satisfaction
