Description
WashU Medicine Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) seeks an accomplished and dynamic radiologist to serve as Chief of Radiology for Missouri Baptist Medical Center (MBMC), Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital (MBSH), and their satellite locations. This individual will serve as the clinical and administrative leader for radiology services across these sites, with responsibility for advancing operational excellence, supporting programmatic growth, and fostering strong relationships across the health system.
This role combines high-level clinical practice with strategic leadership. The Chief will provide diagnostic imaging interpretation while also guiding the radiology enterprise at MBMC and MBSH in partnership with departmental and hospital leadership. Reporting to the Senior Vice Chair, the Chief will work closely with radiology, hospital, and physician leaders on strategic planning, growth initiatives, and service line development, with particular emphasis on supporting a large tertiary care hospital that is actively expanding.
The Chief serves as the primary medical director for these locations and as the leader of the radiologists practicing within them. In collaboration with division leadership, this individual will function as a key liaison between the radiology group, hospital administration, and referring clinical departments to ensure high-quality, responsive, and aligned imaging services.

About Missouri Baptist Medical Center
Missouri Baptist Medical Center is a 489-bed acute care hospital in west St. Louis County offering a full continuum of medical and surgical services. Its areas of excellence include cardiovascular care, cancer care, women’s and infants’ services, breast health, gastrointestinal care, orthopedics, stroke care, therapy services, wound care and pain management. Requirements
Applicants must be ABR certified in Diagnostic Radiology and have substantial post-residency clinical experience in a hospital-based practice. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and the ability to build relationships across teams and disciplines. Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills are essential. Applicants must also be eligible for medical licensure in Missouri and Illinois.
