Medical Center Radiologists (MCR) is the largest radiology practice in Southeastern Virginia, providing radiology services to Hampton Roads for over 70 years. MCR has 90+ radiologists serving multiple health systems including Sentara Health, covering six hospitals and seven hospital-owned imaging centers throughout the Hampton Roads area.
MCR is seeking a fellowship-trained Cardiothoracic radiologist to join our well-regarded Cardiothoracic imaging section. The new Cardiothoracic radiologist can live and read from Norfolk, Virginia Beach, or any of the communities in the area. This position is a full-time flexible position with high Cardiothoracic volume. Example case types to include: Myocardial Infarction & Ischemia, Lung Cancer Staging, Pulmonary Embolism, Complex Valve Disease, TAVR, and Cardiac MRI interpretations.

- MCR provides service for six (6) hospitals and seven (7) outpatient centers
- Fellowship-trained subspecialty radiologists

- MCR, in collaboration with Eastern Virginia Medical School at Old Dominion University (EVMS at ODU), operates a radiology residency program with 16 residents
- Internal teleradiology to support sites of service and night shifts
- Along with resident support, MCR provides 24/7/365 coverage
The Job Details:
MCR offers 90% shareholder compensation for experienced radiologists and 85% for fellows finishing training the first year with one year to shareholder status

MCR provides services to hospitals in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Williamsburg, Newport News, and Hampton. Virginia Beach is mostly suburban in character, with Norfolk more urban and Williamsburg a smaller historic community. Norfolk and Virginia Beach are located on the Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, with Williamsburg and Newport News on the peninsula farther north up the bay.
