Radiology Consultants seeks an associate for a truly rewarding position as a private practice general radiologist in Fairbanks, Alaska. This individual will join a small group of fellowship-trained radiologists practicing in Alaska’s Interior.
Radiology Consultants is a private practice established in 1967 in Fairbanks, Alaska, now serving nearly 100,000 people throughout Interior Alaska. The group is composed of 8 full-time members. The practice provides inpatient and outpatient services for Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, Fairbanks Imaging Center, and Tanana Valley Clinic (collectively, Foundation Health Partners). The practice also provides services at Chief Andrew Isaac Health Center, a multispecialty clinic serving the healthcare needs of Alaska Native populations. Remote services are provided for Fairbanks Ultrasound, South Peninsula Hospital, and Alaska Native Medical Center. All on-site imaging rotations are in close proximity—there are no long commutes.
Radiology Consultants is a physician-owned and physician-controlled private practice with no private equity involvement. All clinical and business decisions are made by the partners, supporting long-term stability, autonomy, and alignment of incentives.
Imaging services include digital radiography, ultrasound, CT, MRI, digital mammography with 3D tomosynthesis, nuclear medicine, and nonvascular interventional procedures.
Fairbanks is an outstanding city for families, with abundant outdoor recreation including world-class hunting, fishing, hiking, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and mountaineering. Denali National Park, the crown jewel of the National Park System, is within a two-hour drive. Fairbanks is home to an international airport, the flagship campus of the University of Alaska, a symphony, multiple theater troupes, a vibrant arts and music scene, churches, and numerous cultural activities. POSITION SUMMARY
We are offering a full-time, private practice, partnership-track position based in Fairbanks, Alaska.
This position is structured as true general radiology, with interpretation across all modalities and study types, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, radiography, nuclear medicine, and mammography.
Light procedural work is included, consisting primarily of image-guided biopsies, drain placements, and other basic interventions.
Subspecialty fellowship training is welcome but not required. Candidates should be comfortable practicing broad-spectrum radiology within a collaborative group environment.
Compensation & Benefits
$500,000 base salary
$100,000 sign-on bonus
1-year partnership track with low buy-in
Partner compensation >$900,000
Fully funded profit-sharing retirement plan (in addition to salary)

14 weeks vacation for associates, substantially more for partners.
Approximately 50% remote work capability

Requirements

- Board-certified or Board Eligible by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology
