Description
Geisinger is seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Radiologists for two openings in northeast Pennsylvania: one position at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton and one position at Geisinger Wyoming Valley in Wilkes-Barre. These are 100% IR positions with no diagnostic responsibilities, offering a predictable 7-on / 7-off schedule, strong clinical support, and the opportunity to practice the full spectrum of Interventional Radiology within a growing, physician-led program.

Join a stable and expanding IR program where you'll have the opportunity to focus on procedures, care for a diverse patient population, and help shape the future of Interventional Radiology across the Geisinger system. With approximately eight procedures per physician per day and a balanced mix of outpatient, inpatient, and emergent cases, you'll enjoy both clinical variety and procedural volume.
Our physicians practice in dedicated IR suites equipped with fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, and cone beam imaging technology, with continued investment in infrastructure and future growth. You'll work alongside experienced APPs, nurses, and technologists who help create an efficient, team-based environment focused on exceptional patient care.
Clinical Practice
- Full-spectrum Interventional Radiology
- Approximately 60% outpatient, 30% inpatient, 10% emergent cases
- Dedicated IR suites at both GCMC and GWV
- Advanced imaging support including CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and cone beam CT
