About the Position
TRA Medical Imaging is looking for a talented board-certified/board-eligible radiologist with a fellowship or residency in interventional radiology to join our group of 15 interventional radiologists for a partnership-track position.
The position encompasses a broad range of vascular and non-vascular procedures including interventional oncology (TACE, Y90, RFA, microwave, cryoablation), hepatobiliary interventions (TIPS, biliary stenting), treatment of arterial and venous diseases (PAD, DVT/PE thrombectomy/lysis), urologic interventions, UFE, prostate/geniculate embolization, as well as a broad range of routine IR procedures (biopsies, drains, dialysis and vascular access).
We are committed to high quality and efficient service through our hospital based and outpatient facilities. We serve two level 2 trauma centers with associated trauma interventions. We solely own an outpatient IR clinic where we do a variety of procedures including arterial and venous disease treatment, pain interventions and vertebral augmentation. https://www.tranow.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/IRNIR-Brochure_08.2018.pdf
IR weekend shifts, overnight IR call and liberal vacation are equitably shared amongst partners and pre-partners. We are a section of 11 full time IR rads and 4 retiring/part-time IR rads. IR call is Sat-Sat, currently q 11 weeks (5-6 times a year). IR call rad is onsite (5-9PM) and on pager call (9PM-7AM) with the daytime off (7AM-5-PM).
Daytime shifts range from 60-100% IR depending on the covered site. Some general diagnostic (no mammography) radiology work is required. No diagnostic call. Afterhours diagnostic shifts are optional.
As an integral part of the medical community, we provide IR consultation services as well as longitudinal post procedure care. We have 8 PA's, 1 ARNP and 2 RA's who perform minor procedures, see clinic patients and round on inpatients as well as assist on weekend IR call.
The interventional radiologists work closely with the referring community with an emphasis on a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. The ideal candidate places patient care first, is team-oriented, and is engaged in practice building.
