Program Overview
The Interventional Radiology Independent Residency/Fellowship Program is seeking qualified applicants for an available training position beginning July 1. This ACGME-accredited program provides comprehensive, high-volume exposure to the full spectrum of imageguided procedures, longitudinal patient care, and multidisciplinary clinical practice. Trainees work closely with experienced faculty committed to education, innovation, and professional development.
Position Summary
The IR Independent Fellow will receive advanced training in minimally invasive, imageguided procedures across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural settings. The fellow participates in all aspects of patient care, including consultation, preprocedure evaluation, procedural performance, postprocedure management, and longitudinal clinic followup. Graduates are prepared for independent practice in academic or private settings and for ABR IR/DR certification.
Key Responsibilities
Perform a broad range of interventional procedures, including:
Vascular interventions (arterial, venous, embolization, thrombolysis)
Oncologic interventions (tumor ablation, transarterial therapies, biopsy)
Hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal interventions
Genitourinary interventions
Trauma and emergency IR procedures
Imageguided drainage and percutaneous access
Participate in IR outpatient clinics, inpatient consult services, and multidisciplinary conferences.
Provide periprocedural and longitudinal patient care under faculty supervision.
Engage in quality improvement, scholarly activity, and teaching of residents and medical students.
Participate in shared call responsibilities appropriate for training level.
Eligibility Requirements
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency prior to fellowship start date.
Eligibility for ABR certification.
Ability to obtain a medical license in the state of practice.
Strong interest in clinical IR practice, procedural medicine, and multidisciplinary care.
