Description
A 30 member hospital-based private practice group is seeking a fellowship trained neuroradiologist who is board-certified or board-eligible and desires an advanced clinical practice within growing neurooncological, spine, and ENT programs. Position is neuro-centric with the majority of examinations covering cross sectional neuro studies. Coverage of basic ED and inpatient exams with some outpatient work provides ability to keep up general diagnostic skills. This is a hybrid position with a good portion of shifts able to work from home on a provided workstation. Onsite shifts include coverage of the lumbar puncture service for procedures like diagnostic lumbar punctures, chemotherapy injections, and myelograms. Advanced neuroradiology imaging including perfusion and DTI are performed regularly. Involvement with the functional MRI exams is available if interested. There are regular multidisciplinary conferences including neuro-oncology, intracranial metastatic, and neurovascular conferences. There has been tremendous growth in the oncology, neurology, neurosurgical, and ENT programs with continued growth expected. The practice coverage includes CDH’s comprehensive stroke center and Northwestern's Warrenville Cancer Center with an extremely robust radiation oncology practice and proton center. No pediatric coverage and no overnight shifts. Overnight exams are covered by long standing nighthawk service.
Our group offers top level compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health benefits, paid malpractice, CME allowance, 401(k) and profit sharing eligibility, internal moonlighting, and an exceptional work environment with beautiful facilities.
The practice is located in the western suburbs of Chicago and covers Central DuPage Hospital and Delnor Hospital of the Northwestern Medicine West Region. The position only requires staffing at the CDH site with a neuroradiology section of 7 neuroradiology fellowship trained members. Kane/DuPage County has first-rate public and private schools and a variety of available housing options (current members live in the suburbs, city or in the country). The group is stable, progressive, friendly and team-oriented. The practice has been serving these hospitals for over 30-year history and maintains a strong relationship with administration and clinical staff.
This is a full time and equal partnership track position in an independent radiologist-owned private group. We offer competitive compensation and benefits and a collegial work environment within a physician led team.
