- Private Practice Radiologist Cardiothoracic and/or Chest Imaging Opportunity in Peoria Illinois

Central Illinois Radiological Associates (CIRA) is an independent, physician-owned private radiology group practice with 100+ physicians providing comprehensive medical imaging and interventional services to ambulatory facilities, clinics, and hospitals throughout Illinois and in Michigan. We are currently recruiting an onsite radiologist interested in reading cardiothoracic and/or chest imaging to join our growing team. Candidates will primarily interpret cardiothoracic and/or chest subspecialty studies in all modalities including CT, CTA, MRI, Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI through our enterprise worklist solution. Additional diagnostic imaging and interventional responsibilities are flexible and customizable based on the candidate’s experience and interests.
The position is located at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois, a 649- bed level I trauma center and comprehensive cardiothoracic imaging center which opened a truly world-class cancer center, OSF Cancer Institute, that provides personalized and comprehensive services while also advancing research and cancer technology capabilities, including proton therapy (one of less than 40 centers in the United States) and a broad spectrum of other state-of-the-art therapies.
Equipment at this location includes two 3T MRI scanners, two 1.5 MRI GE scanners with full cardiac package, Circle 42, GE AW workstation software and terra recon software, a 3D post processing lab, Heart flow software, 3-GE revolution 256 slice 1 Beat CT scanners.
As an independent private radiology group practice, the position presents opportunity for participating in multi-disciplinary conferences including a lung cancer screening program since 2011 along with faculty appointment, supervising and teaching residents and fellows for the University of Illinois College of Medicine-Peoria (UICOM-P). In addition, we are looking for candidates who have strong interpersonal and communication skills to cultivate relationships with our hospital partners, clinicians, employees and patients.
