Company Overview
Our physicians’ group, Medical Scanning Consultants PA, provides diagnostic and interventional radiologic services to Rayus, which is a nationwide provider of outpatient medical imaging services.
Rayus (formerly known as CDI) and MSC-PA were founded in the Twin Cities in 1981 and has grown steadily since then. We now have 18 outpatient imaging centers in the Twin Cities area, approximately 130 centers nationwide, and a large national mobile division. MSC-PA has a long-term contract and close collaborative relationship with Rayus, which includes exclusive rights in the state of Minnesota and other major markets.
We have 18 imaging centers in the Twin Cities region. We use Merge PACS, Powerscribe360, aRIES RIS, Invivo DynaCAD, and MIM-64, and Vitrea software packages. We have recently upgraded our Ultrasound machines to Canon’s excellent Aplio scanners. We have a variety of 3T, 1.5T, and open 1.2T MR magnets (primarily Siemens, some GE), and a variety of 32- and 16-slice CT scanners (primarily GE, some Siemens).
Each Rayus imaging center is staffed by an on-site radiologist from approximately 9a to 5p, M-F. Weekend responsibilities are limited to a few Saturday mornings per year. Most radiologists have home workstations for optional telecommuting.
